Organisation and Administration
The Brigade other than in the United Kingdom and the Priories is organised on a national or territorial
basis. In independent nations it usually operates and is administered under the authority of St john council, acting through
the Chief Commissioner; but subject to the eventual authority, normally exercised through the Commissioner-in-Chief,of the
Grand Priory of the Order, which is the one ultimate bond of identity of the Brigade wherever it exists.
In British
colonies the Brigade is administered directly and individually by the Commissioner-in-Chief.
The Brigade in Singapore
is under the command of a Chief Commisssioner, and is divided into Zones under the command of Zone Commissioners.
Zone/Corps
The whole Brigade in Singapore is divided into 10 zones. Each zone may consist of 10 to 20 corps.
Zones are administered by a Zone Commissioner who may hold a the rank of equivalent to grade 1 or super grade 1V officers.
Units in a school is administered as a Corps. A corps may consist of cadets and adults of both sexes. Corps are administered
by a Corps superintendent who may hold the rank of equivalent to grade 1V or grade 111 officers.
